SECCRA’S NEW RECYCLING TRUCK

You may see SECCRA’s new recycling truck around the area soon. The truck is called a “front-loader,” meaning that a recycling container is picked up in front of the truck, lifted over the roof, and dumped into the hopper from above. This truck will allow SECCRA to begin using a new type of maroon container at its drop-off locations. The driver will be able to service the centers very quickly because it will not have to take the container away from the drop-off center to unload it. This also enables SECCRA to expand its cardboard drop-off program to all it’s locations throughout the region. The acquisitions were made possible through an Act 101 Recycling Grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection.
