SECCRA LAUNCHES VIRTUAL SWAP MEET

“SECCRA’s goal is to be more than just a waste disposal facility –

it strives to play a part in helping the community.”

SECCRA is proud to announce the creation of a new website, www.seccra-swap.com, which is designed as a “virtual swap meet”. People that have things they don’t need anymore can get together with people who might be able to use them.

SECCRA realized there was a need when users of SECCRA repeatedly lamented that they were getting rid of items, but they still had value. SECCRA’s customers asked, “Is there any place I can put the item so that if someone wants it, they can take it?” Due to space constraints SECCRA is unable to accommodate them, however this website will not only make it easier to get together via cyberspace, but it will also save the cost of disposing of those items, in both money and landfill space.

The website, designed by Gambit Design Internet Services of Kennett Square, is very simple and free to use. People wishing to post items must first register, then follow a simple straightforward process of listing the item with a description. The website also has the capability to upload a picture of the item. Since SECCRA wishes to keep this site a “virtual swap meet”, items will be listed for a maximum of one month with a price range of free or up to $50.

Interested parties can sign up for e-mail updates of items posted to their “favorites” categories, in case a particular item they wanted, is not yet posted.

If you have an item that you want to have listed, but do not have internet access, just call SECCRA at 610-869-2452 with details of the item, and we will post it for you.

While SECCRA is in the business of waste disposal, the less that goes into the landfill, the better for everybody.
