SENSITIVE DOCUMENT SHREDDING EVENT TO BE HELD AT SECCRA
On Saturday, July 19, 2008, SECCRA will sponsor a Sensitive Document
Shredding Event, at its facility on Route 926 in Chatham. For
that day only, from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., residents of SECCRA's
service area can bring sensitive documents to be shredded and
recycled. Those who bring documents will be able to witness them
being destroyed. |

SECCRA WINS EPA NATIONAL 'PROJECT OF THE YEAR'
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency honored the Southeastern Chester County Refuse Authority (SECCRA)
with a “Project of the Year” award for its successful effort to turn
landfill gas into usable electric power. More info here.

RECYCLE YOUR TREE AT SECCRA FOR FREE!
SECCRA will be accepting Christmas trees for composting after the
holidays. SECCRA uses the compost for beneficial projects at the SECCRA
Community Landfill, including landscaping. Drop-off will take place
during regular hours.

WITH $250,000 GRANT, ‘SECCRA POWER’ PHASE II EXPECTED TO BE ON LINE IN MID-2008
Gov.
Edward G. Rendell recently announced the award of a $250,000 grant to
SECCRA from the Pennsylvania Energy Development Authority (PEDA).
Approval of the grant means SECCRA can now go ahead with plans to add
a second generator engine to its landfill gas-to-electricity

Recycling Event, at its facility on Route 926 in Chatham. For that day
only, from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., residents of SECCRA's service
area can bring all sorts of electronics to be recycled. Additional info

its second annual electronics recycling event to be held at its
landfill on Route 926 in Chatham. The event will run from 1 pm to
5pm. The cost is FREE to residents of SECCRA’s service
area. SECCRA is underwriting all costs and is proud to provide

SECCRA RECEIVES $500,000 GRANT FOR GREEN POWER
The Southeastern Chester County Refuse Authority (SECCRA) will receive $500,000 in funding from the Pennsylvania Energy Development Authority (PEDA).
Senators Dominic Pileggi and Bob Thompson, and Representatives Chris
Ross and Art Hershey assisted with the application to PEDA and helped

Christmas and New Year's are over, remember to recycle your tree.
SECCRA will accept your Christmas trees for composting after the
holidays. The compost will be used for landscaping and beautification

you need directions. Remember to tarp your load.
