In June 2002, legislation was passed requiring a $4 surcharge to every ton of waste disposed in Pennsylvania landfills. SECCRA, required by law to collect this fee, has revised its rate schedule accordingly. New rates became effective July 9, 2002 and will remain in effect for the remainder of the 2002 calendar year.
